Top cop lauds drug arrests in fight against 'unacceptable' violence

The old - LOOK OVER HERE AT THESE DRUG ARRESTS....and not at all those murdered bodies!

Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy acknowledged today that the city has an "unacceptable level of violence," but insisted that the department's efforts to combat narcotics-related gang crime is showing positive results.

In a crime-ridden week in which at least six victims were killed in the past two days alone, Chicago police arrested more than a dozen people as part of two busts of gang-controlled drug markets in the Wentworth and Englewood police districts, McCarthy said today.

Five people were arrested Thursday for their roles in drug sales taking place in the area of 39th Street between Calumet Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive, McCarthy said.

Drug arrests? What for? They will be back on the street, on the same corner, selling the same shit, faster than the desk can finish the paperwork.

Fuck this system. Wake me up when the shitheads get arrested and STAY in jail.

Dont blame the cops. They are not the baby daddys who turned their back on raising these kids for the last 50 years. Its not the schools responsibility to raise them either. You cant build a house without a foundation.AND,you cant let the streets and the govt raise your children. When you do.You are seeing what happens..There is no accountability in these neighborhoods.Do your job in a professional way and make sure your squad is safe. The rest is way outside the realm of CPD and CPS.Godspeed to all..
