Not too many fair news reporters to the police here in Chicago but Jeff Goldblatt was always fair and truthful in his reporting

The DSLC NEWS organization congratulates award winning newsman Jeff Goldblatt... Jeff was selected as the anchorman at KENS 5 News in Texas. God bless Mr. Goldblatt and thank you for always being fair to the police officers in the Chicagoland area.
Award-winning journalist Jeff Goldblatt is joining the KENS 5 news team, the station announced Monday afternoon.

He will appear weeknights at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. alongside KENS 5 anchors Deborah Knapp and Sarah Lucero, KENS 5 President and General Manager Bob McGann said.

"I'm very pleased to have someone of Jeff's experience not only on the anchor desk but on the reporting front," McGann said. "He has tremendous experience covering national and international stories."

Goldblatt most recently worked for NBC 5 News in Chicago, where he appeared on the anchor desk and as a reporter on a variety of assignments.

From 2008 through 2010, Goldblatt was the main anchor for the prime-time newscast of Fox Chicago/WFLD. In addition to in-studio anchoring, his responsibilities included field anchoring and interviews with key newsmakers from the desk.

While at WFLD, he won two regional Emmy Awards, one for investigative reporting and the other for hard-news reporting.

Goldblatt also worked as a Chicago-based correspondent for Fox News Channel for nine years. He covered Hurricane Katrina from its landfall through its aftermath and spent more than two months in the region reporting on the devastation.

After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, he reported from Shanksville, Pa., and from Ground Zero in New York City.

Internationally, he has reported overseas on the War on Terror from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. Goldblatt also was on the front lines in the Middle East during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War.

Goldblatt graduated with honors from Colgate University with a bachelor of arts degree in history. He and his wife have four children, ages 9, 6, and 4-year-old twins.

Jeff Goldblatt will begin his career at KENS 5 on Aug. 13.

So sorry to see Jeff go to Texas. He did the story of the $10g reward for anyone turning in info of a pos who has shot at a CPD member about a year ago and he was a complete gentleman and VERY PRO LEO.
I wish him much luck in Texas. Maybe he will run into my ex's down there.

Don't let the liberals corrupt you, but you are in Texas so you should be o.k.

Speaking of news - last night on the Kudlow Report they showed the latest poll from, believe it or not, Cook County. Romney is leading Obama in Cook! Add this to your story about concealed carry and we must start wodnering if there really is hope and change coming to Illinois?

Jeff will do even better in Texas, now that he will be away from the Communist Obamaland of Shitcago. I'm sure he will be replaced here with a Socialist-Stooge puppet reporter.

Obama controls almost all the media. Texas is excluded.

"Fair and truthful" Not part of the media's program for a Chicagoland ruled by socialists.
