Imagine that? A colored criminal robbing a white CTA passenger... Only happens a dozen times daily on the CTA if not more....
man was arrested after a camera caught him using a razor to cut another man’s pocket and take his wallet on a CTA Red Line train, police say.
Matthew Green, 56, is suspected of robbing at least two other people.
Green was arrested about 5 a.m. Sunday with a razor blade at the Red Line’s Grand Avenue station, 521 N. State St., soon after he was seen on a surveillance camera cutting the pocket of the passenger, police said. He then was seen using the victim’s bank card to buy CTA transfer cards.
Plainclothes officers assigned to a special CTA robbery team confronted him, and Green dropped seven CTA transfer cards on the ground, police said.
