Cicero Police : Negro Robbers put bag over clerk's head, steal $40K in jewelry (VIDEO)
Cicero police are looking for at least four men who robbed a Cicero jewelry store of about $40,000 in jewelry, beating a store clerk before putting a bag over his head and tying him up with a phone cord.
The robbery took place at Roosevelt Gold Exchange, 1203 S. Cicero Ave., about 1:30 p.m., Cicero Town spokesman Ray Hanania said in an email.
Four or five men or boys drove up to the store in two separate cars, and three of them went into the store, Hanania said. As two of them spoke to the store clerk through a bulletproof glass window, a third pried open the door to the secure area of the store, where the clerk is stationed and jewelry is stored.
