Chicago Police-involved shooting on city's South Side

Authorites were on the scene of a police-involved shooting late Tuesday night in the city's Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

Dozens of police officers cordoned off the 7800 block of South Marshfield Avenue at about 10 p.m., according to witnesses.

It was unclear if anyone was wounded at the scene.

Representatives with the Independent Police Review Authority and the Fraternal Order of Police were en route to the scene, but had no immediate details.
