Chicago Firefighter Jason Mayoski (Age 37) Obit & FOP 7 Chicago Updates

CFFU Local & FOP Lodge 7 FRIENDS
Brothers and Sisters:

Following our Brother and Friend Jason Mayoski's interment on Wednesday, August 29th, we would like to invite anyone interested to join us at Bourbon Street located at 3359 West 115th Street, Merrionette Park, IL from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. for food and beverages.

Rather than put an undue financial burden on Jason's Family, we would suggest a $35.00 donation towards the three hour open bar. Jason left behind his loving wife Jennifer (CPD) and adorable children Nick - 3yrs, Jason - 2yrs and Brooke - 1 yr.

All left over monies will be given to Jason's children's fund. In the future, we hope to host a benefit with our CFD and CPD Brothers and Sisters for the Mayoski Children. Thank you from the friends of Jason and Jen Mayoski.

Police Officer Needs Assistance

On 26 Aug 12, P.O. Javier Alonso #18523, suffered a traggic lost of his home in a fire. All of P.O.'s Alonso's belongings were destroyed in the fire. P.O. Alonso and his family were graciously spared and made it safely out the house. At this time I am requesting any assistance that F.O.P. may be able to give to P.O. Alonso and his family of three (3); P.O. Alonso, his wife, and 9 year old daughter.

P.O. Alonso's family needs clothing, shoes and personal items.

His wife size is: shirt - medium adult, pants - medium, shoes - 8 His daughter size is: shirt - 10/12, pants - 10, shoes - 2 1/2.

P.O. Alonso's daughter is currently attending school (and wears uniforms), and his wife is a nurse (and wears scrubbs).

Any donations of clothing or monies can be sent to the Lodge. They will be forwarded to P.O. Alonso.
Early this morning one of our school families from St. Symphorosa had a fire in their home. Just about everything was lost. Dad is a CPD officer, their daughter is in the 4th grade. While they were not hurt, they did lose their dog. :( We would like to come together as a community and help them in any which way. If any CPD officers have police pants, shirts, etc or mens clothing, he wears Large, and then 36x28, Mom wears a Large and Size 10 and their daughter wears a little girls size 10...This Wednesday at 6pm, donations will be accepted from the community, and then delivered to the family. IF you can help by bringing your van to fill up , or loading, or any other way, it is greatly appreciated. Together, lets pray also for this family, this is truly devastating! Hope to see lots on Wednesday in the parking lot across from our church (62nd and Austin)

Ironically, I know both of these families. Jen now has a huge challenge ahead, raising 3 children under the age of 4, but she also has a fantastic family who will no doubt step up to the plate.
Javier is a great Policeman and an even better man. I knew him since he came on the job and he is top-notch. I will do what I can to help out both families as I know they have a tough road ahead.
I urge those who may have a couple extra bucks to throw them to these two great causes.
If you can't, please keep them in your prayers. Thanks!
