Another once quiet place - Home Invasion ends with one shot in Plainfield, IL - Sounds like the dope house was robbed
One person was shot early Tuesday during a home invasion in southwest suburban Plainfield.
Police responded about 1:15 a.m. to a call of a person shot at an apartment building in the 24000 block of West Main Street, Plainfield police said in a release.
Witnesses said three masked males entered an apartment where two of the males displayed a semiautomatic handgun and a shotgun, Plainfield police said. The males demanded money and drugs from the six people inside the apartment and a struggle ensued.
The males fled the apartment and were pursued by the victim, who struggled with one of the males inside the vestibule of the building. Plainfield police said.
He was shot once in the arm and taken in “stable” condition with non-life threatening injuries to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
The three males fled in a red SUV, Plainfield police said. The shooter is described as Hispanic, 18-25, 5-feet-8 and 170 pounds.
Plainfield Police are investigating.
