From the E-Mail Section - Community Alert Mt. Greenwood Area / 115 Bourbon Street Area
The following came to DSLC NEWS via E-Mail....
Community Alert / Mt Greenwood / 115th Bourbon Street Area - this happened to my daughter Katie last night (actually this morning ~2am 7/13/12) leaving Bourbon Street. Beware of anyone following you while you're driving home!! Please share so no one gets hurt by this maniac!
Attn all Southside girls: Last night as I was leaving Bourbon Street, I was followed by a man who apparently watched me get in my car and... then proceeded to not only follow me, but CHASE me through the Mt. Greenwood and EP neighborhoods. He was an an african american male, 30-40 years old with a stocky build driving a silver or gray Pontiac.
As soon as I got in my car and turned it on, he was pulled behind me and waved me to go as if he was being a courteous driver (I thought he was just someone driving down the street). So I proceeded to wave thank you and pull out of my parking spot, turning down down a side street. He followed me on that turn, and after I began being suspicious of him I took another few strange turns to make sure....and sure enough and he tailed me the entire time. After that I got onto 111th going east, then north on Kedzie and I was on the phone with 911 as he chased me going 70mph. He even tailed me as I U-TURNED 3 times in front of the EP police station while on 911. This guy was CRAZY, definitely trying to hurt me...and I can easily say this was the most horrifying things that has ever happened to me. He got away when I finally saw the police, which is completely freaking me out. So please please please be careful coming out of the bars and getting into your cars. Feel free to re-post this on your pages and tell your friends to be careful while out and about in the neighborhood. Thanks.
