How many millions in union workers dues were wasted on this ridiculous recall! These left wing nut jobs have taken over the unions, the Democrats and are agitating 24/7/365 !!
In our country we elect a candidate for a specified time - unless they are breaking laws! We are not a European socialist style democracy where whenever the people get angry with any decision, large or small, made by the politicians - then they can call a vote to remove that person. ALL democratic action gets shut down by this crap. Our founding fathers figured out a better way. Obama - we will recall you this November !!

"Collective bargaining" needs to take the actual parties affected by the payee and payors. In the case of the public employee unions the actual parties who PAY out the goodies obtained are the beat upon taxpayers.. However, they are not really represented at the bargaining table. The unions support almost exclusively DemocRATS - who get their money and support to be elected. Then they pay back their benefactors by voting for overly generous and unreasonable benefits far above the average taxpayers personal situations. Then the union takes a percentage of those perks and uses it to lobby for their wants - and uses that cash to prop up their DemocRAT allies (puppets). Nowhere in this sick arrangement is the taxpayer represented. They vote to take money from the average worker (who has far less in terms of benefits personally)and gives it to the public government worker. In private negotiations, there is an ultimate limit that management can go and beyond that they are no longer profitable - and go bankrupt. The government just keeps going back to the taxpayer, over and over and over and over and over again! It must stop !

Are they that out of touch, or were they trying to discourage Walker voters from coming out?

Also get rid of MADIGAN, father & daughter.

Walker didn't take away anyone's pensions. Stop swallowing all of the Democratic talking points. You probably believe that old people will starve from cat food diets too! Walker simply asked these morons to contribute to their own pensions and pitch in for health insurance. They placed hard ball. They lost. They also cost the State of Wisconsin several million dollars to pay for this stupid recall.

Hot Damn! The win in Wisconsin is a win for AMERICA.

Each of us must carry our own load. I pay for my benefits and you pay for your benefits. Gov. Walker delivered on everything he said he would deliver. And both Republicans AND Democrats agreed and voted FOR Gov. Walker and his policies.

Common sense and Gov. Walker's ability to fulfil his promises to the people of Wisconsin won the day for Walker and the people of Wisconsin.

Hey, Illinois, time to stand up and speak out and clean out the commie rat's nest in City Hall and in the State Senate. And for unions to stop voting for weak union leadership, and voting in lock step for each hack that the demo-socialist party pushes your way.

It takes that first step...remove communist/socialist oboma and elect Romney, who is NOT a communist/socialist. Romney is flawed, but Romney IS NOT A COMMUNIST/SOCIALIST. oboma IS A COMMUNIST-SOCIALIST. It is but the beginning of little steps to return this country to the Constitution, liberty, freedom, prosperity, jobs and a future in which we make the decisions about our lives and our fortunes.

We must also be vigilant and make sure that Romney listens to the will of We The People. Be prepared to work together, like the voters in Wisconsin joined forces and worked together, and make this a win in November for Romney, and for we Americans.

I'm trying to educate myself more on Walker, so anyone chime in here.. Is Walker in the mind set of not messing with fire/ems/police pensions? I was under the impression that stripping collective bargaining rights was bad because it would eliminate the leverage that unions have when negotiating contracts. So I don't like Obama and I'm not voting for him in Nov., and glad this is hurting his campaign, however, is this a good thing that Walker retains his seat as governor? Someone with more knowledge on this than I do, please respond and help me get some more knowledge from my peers on this rather than googling it and hearing it from too far left or too far right. Thanks!

I guess the people are pissed and sick of watching gym teachers getting six figure pensions with full medial insurance at 60 years of age for the rest of their lives. I have no problem with pensions but a lot of this has gotten out of hand and not sustainable. In Wisconsin they asked the public employee unions members to pick up some of the cost of their benefits like 10% otherwide there were going to be mass layoffs and unions went into a hizzy fit. My family has been in the unions with my father a proud member of IBEW (8 and 134)and the Teamsters. My relatives were in the printers, carpenters and plumbers unions with soome in leadership. My great grandfather was involved in strikes and protest during labor strife when they were building the canals with 25% of the workers dying. Those were real work condition issues. The public unions have made a mockery of the system especially the NEA buying politicians like whores on Cicero Avenue. SEIU is no frield to the public being affiliated with Acorn and other radical groups. In the trades, union workers are generally better skilled and more effecient then non union labor. Public unions have to realize like the industrial unions that when there is no money for raises there is no money for raises. This was a very bad night for big labor and Obama. There is no spin for Obama and the lamestram media with this a big loss and Obama pissing off Democratic party members in Wisconsin with his no show The lamestream media has already started the spin for Obama with exit poll buillshit with an election 5 months away. The people might be tired of the amateur anyway and in November America can go forward like Wisconsin with positive leadership. Look how much union money and prestige was wasted on a failed election in a heavily union state.

God, you guys are so brainwashed. The only reason the Walker's and Romney's won't try take collective bargaining away from you all -- at least, not for a *little* while -- is because you carry guns or put out fires. But, hey, fuck the RNs that work in state and county hospitals and get assaulted by the ghetto residents that Chicago has farmed out as fast as it possibly could to surrounding communities, counties and states. (It's like a balloon: you step on it in one place, it just pops up in others.) Yeah, screw those teachers who try to prevent ghetto kids from becoming thugs (who will eventually try to shoot *you*) and try to do in 8 hours a day what these kids' loser parents can't do in the other 16. Yeah, just throw THOSE people's collective bargaining rights under the bus.

I used to respect cops, but I can't figure out why anymore, you're so brainwashed by Tea Pissers/conservatives. You repeat the crap you're told by the likes of Walker and Romney, and meanwhile, people who do honest and hard fucking work with the same ungrateful and frequently *hostile* public that YOU also deal with -- we get screwed. Wow. Way to use your brain cells. But then, who wants cops who can think, anyway? They're not good at blindly following orders.

Make no mistake: this "success" for Walker ensures that when these Tea Pissers can't squeeze any more money out of all the *other* state/municipal workers to balance their budgets, they WILL come after YOUR collective bargaining rights and YOUR benefits. And then what will you have to say? That you were behind it 100% when it WASN'T you. You prefer to remain the special pets and guard (lap) dogs of politicians like Walker and Romney who would turn around and stab you in the back TOMORROW if they thought they could get away with it. You're like the house slaves who think they're so much better than the field slaves, and fail to realize that. They're. Still. SLAVES.

When will you get it through your heads? You will be next, when they no longer need you to win elections. You're just a one line amendment to such legislation. They can add it in any time they want. I can't wait until they go after YOUR collective bargaining rights so they can reduce YOUR benefits and YOUR pensions, because your benefits are "too good" and too expensive and matching your pension contributions like they do "costs too much" and "wastes taxpayers' money." I LOVE it when people "get what they want," and then they don't want it, and don't like it, and they're sorry they voted for it, and they lie and say they didn't vote for it... sound familiar? Oh, yeah -- those were the W years.

You all say "f*ck those teachers and their collective bargaining rights" because, why -- they get SO MUCH MONEY and they have SUCH GOOD benefits and pensions as a reward for keeping your kids safe in school, bringing tons of grading and class planning work home with them to do in their off hours, and spending their own money on school supplies? Riiiiight.

But it's okay. Eventually, you'll get yours, like you did before, and I'm gonna LOVE IT. I ALWAYS love when reality refuses to save people from the consequences of their own stupidity. And that IS what happened to America well before Obama even declared his candidacy. That's why people were so ready to believe HIS lies!

It's gonna be GREAT to watch all you stupid people get screwed by the Walkers and Romneys, and then watch you squirm as you lie and deny later that you voted for the very people who f*cked you over. Don't you get it? They don't give a shit about you, any more than they give a shit about *us*. You serve at THEIR mercy, and they know it -- they just need you and your gun-loving pals' brainwashed votes in the coming months. The only ones who don't know it are YOU. I'll be waiting for the joyous moment when you. Get. YOURS.

I'm L.E. and I'm in full support of Walker.
He did what he needed to do to save the future of the state; he made those who put nearly nothing into the pension system, (like teachers paying less than 1%! WTF?!!). all he did was make it a little more fair for those who are still working. He did not go after the pensioners that already retired and he took away some of the power of the fat cat unions, that really do little to help the average worker.
If you check , there are not too many complaints from the Wisc. State Troopers about Walker, since they have been paying their fair share, everyone else now has to.

Since Illinois is nearly completely run by DemocRATS, how does that equate to the Republicans (Walkers party) being the bad guys for collective bargaining.
Walker made less changes to collective bargaining than those that were introduced by Madigan and didn't hurt retirees.

The begining of the end for ALL unions. Police & Firefighters will not be immune. If they can take away bargaining rights of workers in Wisconsin, they will surely do it here in IL. Our pensions will be cut, we will lose holiday pay, uniform allowance & other benefits. The middle class is done. The writing is on the wall. It's over for the American middle class......

Somebody has to actually represent the taxpayer when negotiating with public unions. WE certainly can't trust the (D) party to act responsibly when they are getting backdoor union money.

Anonymous said...

So it's all one sided? Democrats are the only problem? This is why this country is fucked. Democrats are supported by the unions and in turn the unions benefit marginally. The people who really benefit from the democrats ate the poor and minorities.

Now on the opposite side of the isle you have republicans who support big business and apose the worker and their rights. Tax breaks for the richest amongst us as the peddle the dream that one day you'll be rich and then Taxed at a higher level. It's a myth no one on here will be rich. Right to work legislation is right to work for less. Look at wall street and these large corporations making billions and paying employees 9 dollars an hour with no benefits.

Unions, public and private need to stick together. A problem with this country is that you have something and I don't so you shouldn't have it. With out collective bargaining all you have is collective begging. You beg for a raise and are told there's no money for it as the company makes record profits.

Prop up the middle class, secure wages and benefits and the country prospers. Comtinue to give to the poor and the rich and pressure the middle class and the country will fail.

Hey Rosemarie get your head out of your ass!

Take a good look, Walker hasn't really hurt anyone in Wisconsin. The main group of the supporters for Barett were overpaid teachers, Liberal Bleeding hearts, read here I’ll spend every dollar I can get out of your pocket types, useless welfare by choice recipients, and the liberal egg heads in Madison.

Walker now has money in the treasury unlike Illinois. Also Illinois is not a Democratic State if you remove Crook County, Shitcago and St. Louis from the equation. The rest of our state is Republican but the rural voters are out voted by the mentioned cities and county and suffer because of it.

Wake up would you rather have a bankrupt state where the welfare lice suck you dry for your taxes and Liberal Democratics tax you to death while the non-working by choice are paid for their laziness by those Democratics like Illionois. A pension from a healthy state with money in the treasury is a lot better than a pension from a state that goes bankrupt and can't pay.

I’m retired and have property in both states and guess where my taxes went down?........ Not in Illinois.

One other thing you forgot is you do not have Collective Bargaining in Illinois – your in the city of Shitcago and you have Collective Begging!

Who the fuck do you think is fucking over the pensions and unions in ILLINOIS. It aint the Romneys/Walkers.
Rahm, Quinn, Madigan? ALL DemocRATS.
Neither party has our backs , but at least the Republicans are trying to do something about the downward spiralling budget and not give OUR money to the welfare leeches.
BTW, teachers NEED to pay their fair share, thats all we're asking. I've put in my 12.5% for 25+ years and I expect everyone else to do same.

Anonymous said...

I was wondering how much this cost the taxpayers in the State of Wisconsin to have been forced by the Democratic's and the Unions to have a recall election.

I suppose this will take a little off the top end of the money in the state coffers.

And here in IL we pay and pay and pay for those who refuse to work. While the Democratic's pander to those who won't work and soak those of us who do work and pay taxes.

No, you would rather teach them to be the ANARCHISTS that would fire bomb the police stations and public offices. I LOVE the 'idea' of teaching and I believe in teachers doing the job they are 'supposed' to do and feel they should be compensated for it. But its hard to get past the strikes EVERY year and the miniscule contributions they contribute to the pension system, yet being the biggest drain.
And to hear you whine about taking homework home with you. Sorry, but you should, in order to make up for the 4+ months your off for the year( not inluding vacation time w/your kids and off every holiday).
But you'd rather 'brainwash' the future Libtards, all the while, draining the budget to non existence.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON NURSES.

As long as the business climate in Illinois remains as it is, we'll have financial problems. You can't fight economics. If we continue to shit on businesses and the taxpayers, there won't be any money left for anyone to earn. Walker has maintained taxes where they were or cut some. He stripped away some workers benefits and expects them to pay WHAT WE ALREADY PAY HERE IN ILLINOIS. Wisconsin is no longer broke after making those changes. Illinois is broke and already doing basically what Walker did.

When the hell are you people going to pick up a book on economics? One written by Milton Friedman or Thomas Sowell? You just might get a clue what has to be done.

Democrats tend to hate public safety workers because they tend to lean very socially conservative.

You also have to remember that public safety workers are the backbone of government. A governments main role is as a monopoly on violence. You can privatize schools, janitors, social workers, etc. But you can not privatize police/public safety workers because they derive their duty and power from the power of the state.

So public safety workers should take precedence over all other public employees. A majority of the rest are parasites.

This is all corporate MSM propaganda. Banks and corporations are the ones ripping off the taxpayers, as well as high level govt people involved with war and foreign occupation. That's where the BIG money is going. In the mean time, they create a smoke screen claiming that Union jobs are the real problem, so we all attack each other instead of seeing what's really going on.
