Fathers of Trayvon Martin and Ramarley Graham are protesting NYPD's stop-and-frisk program and racial profiling. - Sorry assholes but racial profiling works...Hundreds of thousands of Negroes are murdered each year by other Negroes but funny you are only complaining about the ones whitie killed...Your the one profiling...Now go FUCK OFF!Two dads came together in Harlem on the eve of Father’s Day to share their grief over sons gunned down by men who were supposed to be protecting them.
The fathers of Trayvon Martin and Ramarley Graham embraced at a protest against the NYPD’s controversial stop-and-frisk program and racial profiling.
“It’s hard to imagine Father’s Day without Trayvon,” said Tracy Martin, whose 17-year-old unarmed son was fatally shot in February by Florida neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman, who suspected him of wrongdoing.
Frank Graham’s son was shot to death in his own Bronx home Feb. 2 by NYPD Officer Richard Haste who wrongly believed the 18-year-old had a gun.
“To me, my son was murdered,” Graham told the crowd at the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network headquarters in Harlem. “I lost my son to people we pay to protect us.”
Haste has been charged with manslaughter, while Zimmerman faces a second-degree murder charge.
The rally of about 200 people was called to garner support in advance of Sunday’s silent march against stop-and-frisk set to begin at 3 p.m. at 110th St. and Lenox Ave.
“I want to stand for the million voiceless fathers that have lost their children,” Tracy Martin said.
Graham added, “The reason we are doing this is so that no one forgets. We will never let them forget what happened.”
