UPDATE: Colored retarded boy who didn't win an award at Special Olympics left behind by family
Chicago Park District employees found a boy between the ages of 12 and 16 years old at Eckersall Stadium after the Special Olympics ended about 3:45 p.m. Friday.
Police can’t locate family or the boy’s school and are asking for help from the public.
The boy, Tommy, was alone near buses at 3111 W. 77th Street. He appears retarded or autistic and only knows his first name, police said.
He was wearing a plain green sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and white shoes.
Police are asking anyone with information about Tommy to call Area South Special Victims Unit at (312) 747-8274.
