Chicago Police want to know who slashed their tires during NATO march
The Chicago Police Department tonight asked for the public's help in identifying the NATO protester seen on a video slashing the rear tires of a moving CPD van while another protester was holding onto its front.
A community alert says the person is sought "regarding the criminal damage to a Chicago Police Department vehicle that occurred in the 300 block of West Jackson on May 19, 2012 at approximately 9:30 p.m."
The CPD van sustained damage including two slashed rear tires, police said.
The person being sought is described in the alert as a white man in his 20s with brown hair and a slim build, last seen wearing dark clothing.
