A colored parole was arrested after he rammed a police vehicle with a stolen minivan in Englewood to avoid capture, police said. The incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 7000 block of South Normal Avenue and resulted in two female police officers being treated and released from Little Company of Mary Hospital, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli. Darius Mosley, 23, of the 6900 block of South Normal Avenue, who was driving the minivan, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated fleeing an accident causing bodily injury and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was also wanted on a warrant for a parole violation, police said.
