11 Year Old Allan Fernandez found dead with a puncture wound to chest in Hoffman Estate
An 11-year-old boy died after being found bleeding with a puncture wound to his chest Saturday afternoon outside his northwest suburban Hoffman Estates home, according to authorities. Allan Fernandez, of the 1300 block of Mallard Lane, was pronounced dead at 3:02 p.m. at St. Alexius Medical Center, a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

DCFS investigate possible murder of 4-month-old Mount Prospect girl
State child welfare authorities are investigating allegations of abuse following the Saturday death of a 4-month-old baby girl who was apparently injured at a day care center in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates, officials said.
Anna Belle Chung, of the 0-100 block of East Debbie Drive in Mount Prospect, was pronounced dead at 11:44 a.m. Saturday atChildren's Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Anna Belle suffered unknown injuries at a day care center in the 4200 block of Crimson Drive in Hoffman Estates, according to the medical examiner's office.
