CTA derails - It was a charity event to raise money to preserve old CTA rail cars....

People paid $100.00 to ride an old CTA train to raise money...

Firefighters are responding to a CTA train derailment in the Loop neighborhood Sunday involving an elevated Green Line train.

An elevated Green Line train carrying about 40 train buffs and other CTA riders derailed this morning near State and14th Street in the Loop, though no one was injured. Nearly all of those aboard the three-car L train were able to walk down on their own via a nearby walkway. The Fire Department used a bucket train to carry down the few onboard who couldn’t climb down themselves, including one person who had a caste.

The 40 excursion riders paid about $100 for the morning excursion, to help raise money to preserve old L trains at the Illinois Railway Museum in downstate Union. They began the morning on a Blue Line from Forest Park to downtown, switching to the Pink Line, then the Green Line, stopping along way to look at rail yards and other train highlights. Wheels on the last car came off the rail and kicked a switch.

I'm sure there were no Mudmen at the onset of the voyage, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that several magically appeared shortly after the derailment.

Multiple exclamations of "My neck hurt!" and "I finna sue!" could be heard over the wailing sirens of responding bambulances. "Dis nigga finna git paid!" was the bassy chorus heard between exaggerated bellows of pain.

This is what happens when you have kaffirs maintaining the Coon Transit Authority (CTA).

How old are you? I'm approaching 60 and never saw trains like those.

I remember the square shaped Montrose electric buses, but not old trains like those.

There's no such thing as Englewood "people". Only soulless savages exist in Englewood, City of ChimpCongo. Don't forget, animals actually take care of their offspring - niggers do no such thing.

65 going on 66. Took those trains when they were on the Ravenswood line. I went to DePaul Academy and graduated in 64. They closed it down when I was in Vietnam. Never saw those trains on anything but the Ravenswood line.

The car pictured by DSLC was a 4000 series metal car. They were in use on the Evanston, Ravensood, Logan Square, Lake Street lines well into the mid 60's.

When the Eisenhower opened with rail service, those were the only cars available for service and the CTA had to ask for Federal Money to buy modern cars for higher speeds.

The funny thing is that the cars that derailed today were new modern cars that riders use every day. CTA is way behind in their maintenance of the entire system.

World Class City, ha ha, you are joking mr. rahm!

When we rode those trains taxes were low or politician was out on his ass.

The train cars pictured are a stock photo from who knows where. They were taken out of service many years ago. That's not the type of El cars involved in this incident.
