Raymond T. Barton CONTROLLED BURN was UNCONTROLLED....BARTON IS NOW A KRISPY KRITTER


The Will County Coroner's office says an 81-year-old man died after he was "suddenly overcome by the flames" while performing a controlled burn on his riverfront property northeast of the Kankakee River State Park. Raymond T. Barton was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on his property on the 19600 block of Illinois Highway 113, a little more than a mile southeast of Custer Park.
