Teen colored boy dead, 3 shot & wounded including child on Chicago's South Side
A teenage boy was dead on the scene and three other people including a 14-year-old boy were hospitalized following a shooting tonight in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.
Police were called to the 5300 block of South King Drive at 8:02 p.m. for a report of shots fired and found four victims shot, according to police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien.
Paramedics learned a 15-year-old boy was dead on the scene, said Chicago Fire Dept. spokesman Joe Roccasalva.
The victim was shot in the chest, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Three other people were wounded and needed hospitalization, Roccasalva said.
