Over a dozen colored people murdered in Chicago this weekend... Many more shot and wounded.
Three men were hospitalized this afternoon after being shot in the West Pullman neighorhood on the far South Side, police said.
But officials also said seven other people were injured, including four children, in a traffic accident after Chicago Fire Department crews were being dispatched to the shooting, said Chicago Fire Department Chief Joseph Roccasalva.
Police were called to the 11600 block of South Ada Street shortly after 3:30 p.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety.
Two of the men were shot in a home at that location while a third man was shot outside, Baety said.

CHICAGO'S SOUTHSIDE: Three shot & critically wounded in Morgan Park shooting; Chicago Fire Department Paramedic hurt en route to scene
Three people were critically wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side and seven people were injured when an ambulance responding to the scene struck a vehicle that ran a red light.
Three males were shot about 3:30 p.m. – one outside a home in the of 11600 block of South Ada Street and the other two inside the residence, according to police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the chest and stomach, O’Brien said. Another male was shot in his mouth and a third person was shot in the side.
It was unclear which of the males was shot outside the home and which two were shot inside, police News Affairs Officer Darryl Beaty said.
Two people were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and a third person was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva said. All were listed in critical condition.
A Chicago Fire Department paramedic field chief responding to the shooting collided with a vehicle at the intersection of West 116th Street and South Wentworth Avenue after that vehicle had ran a red light, Roccasalva said.
Seven people were injured in the crash, according to Roccasalva. Four children, two adults and the paramedic were taken in serious condition to Roseland Community Hospital and Metro South Medical Center in Blue Island.
No one was in custody Sunday afternoon in connection with the shooting.
