6 years for Homosexual youth jail supervisor George E. Sabie convicted of sexually assaulting a young male inmate
A former youth supervisor at a juvenile detention center in Joliet was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old male inmate, officials said.
On Tuesday, Will County Judge Amy Bertani-Tomczak sentenced George E. Sabie to six years in prison, said Will County State’s Attorney’s office spokesman Chuck Pelkie. Sabie was convicted in October.
Sabie, 55, of Channahon, was charged with sexual assault, sexual misconduct and official misconduct. He is the father of two grown children and the alleged victim was in prison on burglary and home invasion charges.
