COMBINATION OFFICER SAFETY ALERT & REQUEST FOR OFFICERS TO SHOW UP AT THE PROBABLE CAUSE HEARING TO SHOW THESE LATIN KINGS THAT THE CPD STANDS STRONG!

Officer Safety Alert:

There have been numerous interactions between the Latin Kings in Garfield Ridge lately and its citizens. This has culminated in an attack on a fellow Policeman behind his garage at 2:30 am on Sun the 4th around 57th and Austin . The off duty copper went out to investigate a loud domestic behind his garage and ended up being surrounded by 5 Latin Kings. He asked them to leave and after they told him they didn’t give a fuck he was the Police, commenced to attack him. The fight continued until the 008th District arrived and placed all five in custody, two charged with Agg. Batt. to the Police and 3 charged with mob action. Copper had a trip to the emergency room for a possible scratched cornea and had taken multiple blows to his face and the back of his head.
The good commander of 008 put a “Just Cause” on the Latin Kings.
This is ridiculous where we have come in this city in regards to respect. The event culminated in the Copper being ha nded a CR# by the visiting Watch Commander (not from 008) because the piece of shits said they were just pissing in the alley and were attacked by the pajama wearing copper.
The probable cause hearing for these vermin is 13 Oct 09 in Br. 48-4. If you have the time please show up and support this copper as I’m sure friends of the Kings will be there.

Chicago Downtown Theatre evacuated after bomb scare - Bank of America Theatre

Threat causes theater evacuation

Chicago police evacuated the Bank of America Theatre downtown tonight, interrupting a popular musical after two suspicious boxes with notes were discovered in the alley behind the theater.

Police were alerted at about 8:58 p.m. when two boxes -- each with a note -- were found behind the theater at 18 W. Monroe St.

One letter read: "This is not a bomb" while the second note read: "This is not going to end good," Chicago Police Lt. Charles Flynn said.

Authorities immediately evacuated the theater, which was showcasing the Tony-winning musical "Jersey Boys."

Police were treating the incident as a bomb scare and closed off several surrounding streets as police Bomb and Arson detectives and fire officials secured the scene, Flynn said.

RALEIGH, NC - School board members who supported busing for diversity VOTED OUT! The white parents want their children at their neighborhood schools!

People are getting involved and getting sick and tired of all the bullshit.

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE NEWS VIDEO

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Unofficial results in the Wake County School Board elections Tuesday night showed a consistent theme. Candidates supporting neighborhood schools won big.

Turnout at the polls was surprisingly light considering how contentious the run-up to the election has been this summer. Four of Wake County's school board seats were up for grabs, and a clean sweep could tilt the board away from its longstanding policy designed to increase diversity in classrooms.
The current policy lets the school system shuffle students in an effort to achieve a better socio-economic balance. With a target of no more than 40 percent of students any school receiving free or reduced-price lunches, student can be moved from school to school to maintain that level of socioeconomic diversity. High levels of growth in southern and northern areas of Wake have also meant students have been moved to fill new schools and relieve overcrowding.
Opponents of the policy support a so-called 'neighborhood' school system - keeping students closer to home. Parents have been especially angered by frequent school switches and long bus rides.
Supporters of the policy say it helps maintain quality schools throughout the district and scrapping it could mean a return to segregation.
When all the votes were counted Tuesday, Chris Malone got 58 percent of the vote in District 1 - meaning he'll avoid a November runoff. Deborah Prickett got a solid 64 percent in District 7, and Debra Goldman picked up 58 percent in District 9.
"It is absolutely huge because it means that the right people got out to vote," said Goldman.
The only community school candidate who failed to win outright was John Tedesco in District 2 who got 49 percent to his closest challenger's 24 percent. He'll likely face Cathy Truitt in November if she wants it.
If community schools supporters can win all four seats, those new board members are expected to team up with existing board member Ron Margiotta to gain a 5 to 4 majority in major policy decisions.
"Well, I think it's going to have to be in baby steps and I know that these four candidates know that they're going to have to work with a lot of different people, listen to a lot of different groups," said Gail Marold with the group Take Wake Schools Back.
A group calling itself Friends of Diversity gathered in Raleigh Tuesday night hoping for a victory, but the candidates they supported all lost.
They said they're disappointed about the outcome of the election - but they're hoping the school board members will work together for the good of the community.
"My heart is with the kids of Wake County - the school system - and hoping that we can try to preserve as much as we can of the positives that we do have in place and still maintain diversity in our school systems and not only that but maintain healthy schools and a healthy community," said one participant.
The new school board members will hold their first meeting in December.

Basically what this North Carolina school district was doing is the same thing Mayor Daley is doing - The US Supreme Court ruled that busing for diversity is unconstitutional. So these school boards are now using economic status to mix the students... And guess who is receiving these free lunches??? The minorities, so they are doing the exact same thing that the US Supreme Court ruled against under a different name... It is unreal!

But these parents voted out all the minority liberals who were trying to get white kids bussed to shit areas while their kids went to the nice areas.... Hey breeder parents... here is a little fucking clue, DON'T HAVE THE FUCKING RUG RATS IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD THEM AND QUIT USING ALL OUR TAXES TO BREED WITH!

Video disputes Chicago cop's report of DUI arrest

The attorney representing nearly two dozen people who have filed federal civil lawsuits against a Chicago police officer they allege has made false DUI arrests and has harassed gays and people with disabilities revealed a video today that disputes at least one of the officer's police reports.

The video, which was mounted in Chicago police officer Richard Fiorito's squad car, shows Michael Vaughn, who was pulled over for suspicion of drunken driving in June, walking in a straight line with his arms at his side as part of a field sobriety test. But Fiorito said in a police report that Vaughn couldn't keep his balance and raised his arms more than six inches.

80 yr old woman settles with Target Stores for $7 MILLION due to faulty door - In related news, Det. Shavedlongcock has asked her hand in marriage!

Woman settles for $7 million in Target injury lawsuit
An 80-year-old woman has been awarded a $7 million settlement from Target Corp. and a mechanical door company after she was knocked to the ground by a faulty automatic door at a Target store in Rosemont in 2007, the woman's lawyers said in a statement.

The incident on June 21, 2007, caused Claire Putman brain injuries and resulted in "cognitive deficits," according to the statement from the law firm, Corboy & Demetrio. Putman, whom records list as a Des Plaines resident, had to move into a nursing home because of her injuries.

According to the statement, Putman was walking into the Target at 7000 Mannheim Rd. when the door malfunctioned and knocked her to the floor, causing her to hit her head. She was then struck by the door again as it continued to open and close.

Before she was hurt, Putman cared for her 59-year-old daughter, who has "special needs," Putman's attorney, Philip Corboy said in the statement.

"As a result of what happened two years ago, Claire has been robbed of that ability to take care of her oldest daughter, as well as to enjoy the remaining years of her life the way she had planned," Corboy said.

Putman's lawyers argued in the lawsuit that Target failed to inspect and maintain the doors and didn't follow the safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer, Besam USA, which also was named as a defendant in the suit.

They also contended that Besam's door didn't provide for a way to turn off the system's fail-safe system and wasn't designed to make noise or otherwise alert employees that the door was malfunctioning.

A message for comment from Target was not immediately returned. A Besam spokesman declined to comment.

Once again the "system" screws up - Man kills a woman 3 yrs ago with car had a valid D/L when he kills a man drugged up while driving

Confusion over why driver in fatal crash still had license
A Markham man charged with triggering a fatal, chain-reaction crash last week in Crestwood while under the influence of drugs was on parole for causing a fatal crash that killed a woman three years ago.
Yet Bruce Dozier, 52, still had a valid license Thursday when he sped north on Cicero Avenue, slamming into the back of a silver Mercedes sedan driven by Fred Anderson, 55, of Country Club Hills, a father of seven who was on his way to work as a chemical plant foreman.
Anderson's family said investigators told them Dozier, whose 1997 Buick LeSabre ended up atop Anderson's car, was traveling more than 100 mph before the eight-vehicle crash at 4:30 a.m.

So he is on parole for vehicular homicide and he now causes another accident WHILE DRUGGED UP and kills another person! And he HAD A VALID ILLINOIS DRIVERS LICENSE! Why not... 1/2 the Illegal Aliens have a valid drivers license in this state and none of them are suppose to have a D/L either....

Every level of government in this state is so screwed up it is laughable. Now watch the Secretary of State blame the parolee for getting the driver license... It truly is sad that every government agency claims they are broke because they are either STEALING THE MONEY or PISSING IT AWAY ON EVERY LUXURY AN ASSWIPE CAN HAVE.

Murdered O'Lanagan's bar owner's keys were missing but $2,000.00 in cash still in his pocket

The owner of a corner tavern in the North Center- Lincoln Square neighborhood who was beaten to death still had $2,000 in his pocket when police found him, but his keys to the bar were missing, Chicago police said.

Officers found owner Robert "Bobby" Gonzales, 69, lying in a driveway behind his bar, O'Lanagan's, 2335 W. Montrose Ave., about 4:45 a.m. Sunday after the burglar alarm at the business was tripped, police said. Gonzales appeared to have suffered severe cuts on his head and died Sunday night in Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

"It had to be ... just someone with some type of pent-up anger," said Ald. Gene Schulter, 47th, who lives near O'Lanagan's.

Schulter said investigators told him they are looking at several individuals and that they do not live in Lincoln Square. He declined to elaborate.

Detectives don't know what sort of weapon was used in the attack or the motive, spokeswoman Laura Kubiak said.

O'Lanagan's is a shot-and-a-beer establishment where drinkers can buy a draft beer for $2, regular customers said. Gonzales had been in the bar business for many years, having owned two other O'Lanagan's elsewhere on the North Side before opening one on Montrose, customers and employees said. He was in the midst of remodeling the bar's facade, recently giving it new siding and a fresh coat of green, red and cream-colored paint.

Gonzales' longtime partner, Carol Kolek, and his son, Joe Gonzales, declined to comment Monday at Gonzales' Elmwood Park home.

Saturday was a slow night at O'Lanagan's and talk centered on old friends, shooting pool and plans for a birthday party for one of the bartenders, customer Gary Wing said.

The bar closed about 3 a.m. Sunday, and Gonzales stayed behind to straighten up, said Wing, who started frequenting O'Lanagan's about five years ago and considered Gonzales a close friend.

Less than two hours later, Gonzales was found severely beaten in the driveway behind the bar he ran for nearly two decades.

"Everybody liked Bobby," Wing said. "This thing is so bizarre. Everyone is trying to figure out what happened here."

Wing, 59, said it was typical for Gonzales to stay well after closing, even after the bartenders leave, to clean up and not get home until 5 a.m. Albert Carballo, 39, who is one of three tenants who live above O'Lanagan's, said Gonzales had a strict routine that anyone who watched him could easily remember.

Jim Pettit, 56, a longtime friend of Gonzales' who also lives above the bar, and Carballo said they were asleep during the time of the beating and heard nothing.

Gonzales, an avid pool player who hosted at least three local American Poolplayers Association teams every week, "was friendly as heck," Pettit said. "Everybody liked him. That's what made the bar, really."

Fenger students tell why they fight

Vashion Bullock Jr., 17, was hit with a brick and passed out at one point in the fight that left Derrion Albert dead. (Abel Uribe / Chicago Tribune)

His left eye still swollen shut, Vashion Bullock doesn't deny fighting in the massive brawl that killed a Fenger High School student two weeks ago.

He's watched the grainy fight video and seen himself standing shirtless in the middle of the frenetic mob. But to him, the footage is a 2-minute-and-26-second clip of his world without context, broadcast endlessly on television and the Web.

Together, their actions are horrific. Individually, they're students who made the honor roll, worked after-school jobs, played sports and planned for college. And they wake up in worlds frayed by poverty and violence.

Bullock and other students bused in from Altgeld Gardens housing complex have fought for years with kids who live closer to the school and see them as outsiders, according to Tribune interviews with dozens of students and parents. The Fenger senior said he often races to the bus stop to avoid confrontation. But that Thursday he'd been suspended for a fight. And he'd had enough.

March or No March?
It's been popping up all over the place. We've gotten a few dozen e-mails and about twice that in text messages. The comments are getting repetitive. Even Shaved has a full post on it.
It appears to be a wildcat march. No one is admitting being behind it or organizing it. There doesn't appear to be any transport to or from downtown.
Is FOP going to get out in front of it? Or are they resigned to the fact that arbitration is underway and claim a march serves no purpose? We like a full accounting as to where all the money Shortshanks is hiding from selling everything not nailed down. And a larger accounting of what money was spent to acquire the Michael Reese land.
There's still a lot of questions that demand answers.

Can you say: You Have Been Hosed By A Dead Guy? I love a good practical joke.....

In this Sept. 27, 2009, photo Patty Henken and her husband Buck, of Mt. Sterling, Ill., examine soil excavated from yard in Springfield, Ill. The Henkens are in search of a treasure chest that was, according to a mysterious note Patty found in an antique chair, buried in the yard of a home in Springfield. THE ASSOCIATED PRESS/Shannon Kirshner/The State Journal-Register

Illinois Treasure Hunt Halted After Information Suggests That It Was A Prank By A Now Dead Newspaper Employee
ST. LOUIS —
An Illinois woman who set out on a treasure hunt for buried gold coins after finding a cryptic note in an antique rocking chair may have been the victim of a prolific prankster who died more than 30 years ago.

With help of a donated backhoe, Patty Henken recently tore up a vacant lot in Springfield, Ill., where a typewritten note signed by "Chauncey Wolcott" - found in an old chair she bought at auction last November - suggested she would find a chest containing more than $250 in U.S. gold coins.

The dig turned up nothing but bricks and old bottles. Henken planned to return Tuesday with the donated services of a man with ground-penetrating radar meant to detect any buried items, but the treasure note's promise may already be debunked.

An Iowa woman who read news accounts of the hunt said she knows Wolcott's true identity: John "Jay" Slaven, a notorious practical joker and coin collector who often used a typewriter in his pranks.

Slaven used the pen name "Chauncey Wolcott" and lived for decades at the location where the dig took place, until his 1976 death, according to Betty Atkinson Ryan of Mason City, Iowa. She e-mailed a columnist for the State Journal-Register of Springfield to set the record straight.

Atkinson Ryan told the newspaper that Slaven was her boss in the Journal-Register's classified advertising department decades ago. She said Slaven often used a typewriter to compose some of his jokes and signed them "Chauncey Wolcott." The newspaper said archived news articles described Slaven as an actor with a "booming voice" that he used in television appearances, about 50 radio shows and to narrate the annual Illinois State Fair film.

Ryan does not have a listed home telephone number and could not be reached by The Associated Press on Sunday.

Henken's life got interesting in May when, while prying off the seat of a rickety rocking chair she bought at auction five months earlier, she discovered a small envelope with "Finders Keepers" typewritten on it. Inside, a key was taped to a typed note.

"This DEXTER key (number sign) 50644T will unlock a lead chest," the note began, before spelling out a location in Springfield - 1028 N. Fifth St. - where a chest containing more than $250 in U.S. gold coins supposedly was buried about 3.5 metres below ground.

The stash, the note claimed, included eight $20 gold pieces, six $10 gold pieces, five $5 gold pieces, three $2 1/2 dollar gold pieces and two $1 gold pieces.

The undated note, signed by a "Chauncey Wolcott," included a request to contact the Springfield newspaper if the chest was ever found.

It wasn't.

Henken, of Mount Sterling, Ill., said Sunday that she was disappointed there's no closure but still was hopeful Slaven may have left something to unearth.

"My friends feel like I was cheated out of finalizing this," said the 48-year-old Henken, a window clerk at the post office in Mount Sterling. "There's something down there. He wouldn't play a practical joke without leaving me something."

That property's current owners gave Henken permission to tear up the site in search of the supposed booty if they got an equal share of any find. But they pulled the plug on any more digging now that Slaven may have pulled one over on everyone.

"It's done, other than me fixing up their (torn-up) yard," Henken said. "It's been fun, though. I'd do it again tomorrow. I just hope my life isn't so boring from now on."

She's not averse to a copycat caper.

"I fully expect to do something like this before I die," she said. "But I would leave them something to find, a clue to who I was and not leave them wondering what kind of sick person would make them do this."

Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich blasts Mayor Daley on "no Chicago Police Contract" & "manpower shortage" during his afternoon radio show on WLS

Like former Gov. Rod Blagojevich or not... he came out swinging at Mayor Daley while doing his Sunday afternoon radio show on WLS-AM. (Daley was not present or on the air)

Blagojevich was asking how Mayor Daley can give Supt. Jody Weis a $300,000.00 a year salary, more than doubling the salary for Weis and not even give the Chicago police officers and first responders a raise or contract. Blago went on to say that the police officers and firefighters give their lives for you and I and the Mayor won't even give them a contract. Blagojevich also slammed Mayor Daley for not having enough police officers and for having the police department greatly understaffed... mentioning that Chicago is the homicide leader among all big cities, with most of those homicides being kids or teens.

Five hurt in West Side crash involving squad car

Five people, including two police officers, were injured in an automobile accident between a police car and another vehicle on the West Side early this morning, fire officials said.

Both police officers were transported to Stroger Hospital, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Kevin MacGregor; the three civilians involved in the accident were sent to Mt. Sinai Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Stroger.

Chicago police officials and fire officials said the injuries to all five were not life-threatening

Chicago police officials said the accident happened about 1:45 a.m. at Harrison Street and Kedzie Avenue in the Homan Square neighborhood. The squad car, which was eastbound on Harrison and had the right of way, was responding to a call of shots fired with lights and sirens on when the collision occurred. The other vehicle was on Kedzie, but it was unclear what direction it was moving in.

No citations have been issued yet, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez. Alcohol was possibly a factor in the accident, Perez said.

There are traffic signals at the intersection, and the Harrsion area police station is located at the southeast corner of the intersection. It's not clear if the squad car was from the Harriosn station or not.

L.A. Man Charged With Posing as Fertility Doctor to Molest Males Donating Sperm

LOS ANGELES — A man was charged with posing as a fertility doctor so he could sexually molest men while pretending to give them physical examinations, police said Friday.

Jeffrey Graybill, 40, advertised online, offering people up to $4,000 monthly for sperm donations to support stem cell research, police said.

Graybill is accused of stealing the identity of a San Francisco doctor and posing as a "Dr. Richardson" at a Los Angeles clinic. He examined patients in Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica.

He had no medical certification, except some experience as a paramedic, said Officer Ian Carbonell.

"The victims didn't know any better. They thought he's a doctor, he knows what he's doing," Carbonell said.

The initial complaint about him, from a victim who provided a sperm sample but didn't get paid in June, sounded like a consumer fraud case, Carbonell said.

After an investigation, Graybill was charged with sexual battery by fraud, identity theft, practicing medicine without certification and other sex charges.

Carbonell said there are two victims in Los Angeles, but investigators reviewed his emails and identified 24 potential victims in California and Arizona.

Police said he was working the same scheme when he was arrested in Phoenix on Thursday in connection to two sexual assaults and brought back to California to face charges.

According to police, 31-year-old Jared Garfagna, of Marshfield, punched the man in the head, then Garfagna's girlfriend, 24-year-old Sara Mohn, kicked the victim.
Mohn was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Garfagna will be summonsed to court for assault and battery. It's unclear if either have hired an attorney.

New book alleges Alcor mistreatment of Ted Williams' severed head

Not that he is the 1st person ever to get some bad head service, I once dated a woman with a large & pronounced over bite! Ouch!

PHOENIX (AP) — A new book by a former employee of Alcor, the company that froze Ted Williams' remains, alleges the baseball Hall of Famer's body was mistreated by the company.

Larry Johnson says in the book "Frozen: My Journey Into the World of Cryonics, Deception and Death" that he watched an Alcor official swing a monkey wrench at Williams' frozen severed head to try to remove a tuna can stuck to it. The first swing accidentally struck the head, Johnson contends, and the second knocked the tuna can loose.

Alcor Life Extension Foundation of Scottsdale, Ariz., issued a statement on its Web site denying the allegations and promising legal action.

"Alcor denies allegations reported in the press that there was mistreatment of the remains of Ted Williams at Alcor," the company said. "Alcor will be litigating this and any other false allegations to the maximum extent of the law."

Johnson says he worked for Alcor for eight months in 2003, first as clinical director then as chief operating officer. He included several photographs in the book, including one of an upside down severed head, not Williams', that had what appeared to be a tuna can attached to it.

Johnson says Alcor used the cans, from a cat that lived on the premises, as pedestals for the heads.

Williams' head was being transferred from one container to another when the monkey wrench incident took place, Johnson said in the book. When the head was removed from the first container, Johnson described it.

"The disembodied face set in that awful, frozen scream looked nothing like any picture of Ted Williams I've ever seen," he wrote.

Johnson said that an Alcor employee tried in vain to remove the tuna can.

"Then he grabbed a monkey wrench, heaved a mighty swing, missing the tuna can completely but hitting the head dead center,' Johnson wrote. "Tiny pieces of frozen head sprayed around the room."

The next swing, Johnson wrote, knocked the can loose.

Johnson also contends that there was a significant crack in Williams' head. He also repeated an allegation he had made earlier that samples of Williams' DNA are missing from the facility.

Johnson, who says he wired himself surreptitiously the last few months of his employment, was the source for a story in Sports Illustrated in August, 2003, that said Williams' head had been severed and damaged.

Ex-fiance of Atlanta 'Housewives' cast member dies after fight at strip club; suspect arrested

Yet another Det. Shavedlongcock Horse Mouth Sized Smile Woman Bites The Dust.
ATLANTA (AP) — The former fiance of a cast member from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" died Friday night after a fight outside an Atlanta strip club, and police said they had charged a man in his death.

Atlanta police spokesman James Polite said Fredrick Richardson was charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Ashley "A.J." Jewell, who died from massive head injuries after the fight in the parking lot of the Body Tap Club.

Jewell was engaged to "Housewives" cast member Kandi Burruss until August. He appeared in several episodes of the television show, which follows the lives of metro Atlanta socialites.

Police say Jewell worked at the strip club, but they are not sure what started the fight.

Richardson was in the hospital, and police didn't immediately know his age or whether he had an attorney.

Burruss, a Grammy award-winning songwriter who penned TLC's hit "No Scrubs," posted a message on her Twitter account early Saturday.

"im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone," wrote the 33-year-old Burruss, who was also was a member of 1990s R&B group Xscape. "I could never n a million years imagine this happening. please pray for AJ's children."

Burruss told Essence.com in an interview last month that she was caring for Jewell's 12-year-old twin daughters.

"He would have taken them with him, but they needed a strong female role model and wanted to stay with me," she said.

There has been a rash of horse mouth women killed this year as previously reported on Det. Shavedlongcock. I think the FBI should open an investigation into this mystery. We need to save as many horse mouth women as possible!

I like this ad by a Single Black Female....

Single Black Female
This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It is reported to have been listed in the Atlanta Journal.

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me… Call (404) 875-XXXX and ask for Daisy, I'll be waiting....

As the police contract talks move as slow as a handicapped turtle - Driver license fees go up 300% - yes 300%

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - For more than 25 years, it has cost Illinoisans 10 dollars to renew their driver's licenses. That is about to change.

On Oct. 11, the cost of renewing a standard Illinois driver's license jumps from the $10 in effect since 1983 to $30.

The hike in the renewal fee came as lawmakers and Gov. Pat Quinn raised a number of taxes and fees in order to pay for a $30 billion program to build roads, schools and bridges.

Quinn and lawmakers touted the construction plan for its potential to generate jobs during the recession. However, Secretary of State Jesse White says he doesn't want to be blamed for the fee increases as drivers pour into his offices.

White is seeking re-election to his post.

But you, the hard working tax paying person.... COUGH THE MOTHER FUCKING $30.00 UP YOU ASSHOLES!

Maybe the new DEAD ON ARRIVAL CHALKIE is more topical?

And still one of today's top internation news story... Barack, Michelle, Shortshanks and Orpah blow the Olympics

COPENHAGEN -- It was the kind of stinging defeat Chicago sports fans know all too well.

Mayor Richard Daley took one grand shot at landing the Olympics, devoting more than three years to an effort that involved thousands of volunteers and more than $72 million in donations, but in the end Chicago was done in by a combination of Rio de Janeiro's more compelling story line and the quirky politics of Olympic voting.

Despite an appearance by President Barack Obama at the final presentations Friday, Chicago's candidacy landed with a thud. The city was ousted in the first round of voting for the 2016 Games, rejected before the mayor's car could even arrive back at the convention center to witness the drama of the International Olympic Committee vote. He had the car turned around and headed straight to a suddenly deflated Chicago backers' party.

9 Chicago Aldermen subpoenaed by indicted developer's lawyer

9 Chicago Aldermen subpoenaed by indicted developer's lawyer

The Chicago Tribune's Clout Street blog reports: City Hall late this afternoon released copies of defense subpoenas seeking the testimony of 10 aldermen in the case involving an indicted developer.

The subpoenas, issued by Calvin Boender's defense lawyer Joe Roddy, seek testimony of nine current aldermen--Ed Smith, 28th, Bernard Stone, 50th, Edward Burke, 14th, Walter Burnett, 27th, Emma Mitts, 37th, Ricardo Munoz, 22nd, Patrick O'Connor, 40th, Helen Shiller, 46th, Eugene Schulter, 47th--and former Ald. William Banks, 36th.

Roddy said the aldermen were subpoenaed because he believed they could provide evidence about the "consistently honorable course of conduct of Cal Boender."

In May, a federal grand jury indicted Boender and Ald. Isaac Carothers, 29th, on charges stemming from Boender's efforts to develop a 50-acre industrial site on the West Side. With Carothers' support, Boender successfully rezoned the site in 2006, allowing construction of a residential and commercial development known as Galewood Yards.

Secret Peep Hole Video Taper of ESPN's Erin Andrews is nabbed by F.B.I.

A Westmont man faces a charge of interstate stalking in producing nude videos of ESPN personality Erin Andrews apparently by altering peepholes in two hotel rooms, according to the FBI.

Michael David Barrett, 48, was arrested Friday at O'Hare International Airport after being named in a criminal complaint in U.S. District Court Los Angeles late Friday afternoon, according to a release from the Los Angeles field office of the FBI.

The FBI release does not specifically name Andrews, but identifies the victim in the case as an on-air personality with ESPN. One hotel room was believed to be in Nashville, but the FBI has not been able to identify the location of the second room where a video was shot, although records indicate Barrett booked a room at a Milwaukee hotel at the same time Andrews stayed there, according to an FBI affidavit in the case.

Barrett was linked to an e-mail account held by someone who tried to sell eight videos of Andrews to Web site TMZ.com, according to the FBI.

Seven of the eight videos appear to have been shot in a hotel room that the victim identified as in the Marriott Nashville at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee in September 2008, according to the FBI affidavit. In July, the victim learned of the videos, which FBI investigation showed were posted on at lest one Web site in March, and after watching them, "instantly thought they were videos of her," according to the FBI affidavit.

Andrews "though that her career was over" after she saw the videos, and called her parents in a panic, according to the FBI.

Barrett, who was in federal custody in Chicago, was scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys on Saturday at 10 a.m. in federal court in Chicago.

Today's musical break in honor of Rio getting the Olympics

Thanks to Ann Marie for this beautiful and topical selection.

"Explosive" Sun-Times News Story leads to speculation that Ron Huberman has either been indicted already or will be indicted shortly

Today may be a DOUBLE MAJOR HIT for Mayor Daley...
Numerous reports are being floated that Daley's hand pick blow job queen, Ronald Huberman, has either been indicted or will be indicted due to a $2.5 million dollar contract rip off.

Report rips Huberman's oversight of contracts
Inspector general says 'management failure' cost city $2.25 million

Chicago schools chief Ron Huberman -- Mayor Daley's former corruption-fighting chief of staff -- is being accused of a "significant management failure" that set the stage for alleged contract irregularities at the city's 911 center that cost taxpayers $2.25 million.

In an explosive new report, the city inspector general's office characterizes Huberman as so derelict in the oversight of a contract with Motorola while he was executive director of the Office of Emergency Management and Communications that he should be suspended if he still worked for the city.

May I re-post one of my original posts that PREDICTED that RIO would get the Olympics.

Det. Shavedlongcock reasons why I predicts that Rio will get the 2016 Games

There are Muslim oil tycoons and other wealthy Muslims around this world who don't want America to host the Olympics. And don't think for a minute a few of these Muslim fucks aren't dropping envelopes of cash as well as placing pressure on the I.O.C. for them not to pick the US/Chicago for the 2016 Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee is as corrupt as any other government or powerful institution. If the Olympics were to be attacked while America was hosting, it would be hard for the I.O.C. to be able to sell future Olympic hostings, especially to the highest bidders. Illegal "Bids" and bribes tend to drop dramatically when hosting the Olympics becomes a danger. Many other places would think, if the big bad super power of America couldn't protect the Olympics...how can we?

Although America drops more money to other countries for humanitarian reasons, we are hated in most spots around the world. Picking the US is not the best thing for the I.O.C. to do.

Let's face it... Everybody knows the I.o.C. is corrupt and Rio can give them EVERYTHING. Drugs, Money, Whores and more... with no FBI watching over their shoulders.

Even though the I.O.C. is as dirty as they come... one thing they do not want is the 2016 being a big loss in revenue. In order for the I.O.C. to be able to keep selling the hosting of the Olympics, it has to be a great thing for the host city or country to do. If Chicago had the Olympics and due to the corruption, it ended up being 1/2 a billion dollars in the red, WHO WOULD "BUY" THE OLYMPICS IN THE FUTURE?

This image is self explanatory.

I will let you rent my cockroach infested, greasy walls and toilet over flowing place for $5,000.00 a day. Deal?

The inner city assholes and the illegal lettuce pickers has Chicago looking like the Al Capone days. Murder and mayhem... Not good. Rio can take assholes off the streets for no reason and make them permanently disappear without any complaints from anybody except the asshole criminal being whacked in the jungle.

And did Det. Shavedlongcock call this over a month ago??? Yes he did!

I think when the International Olympic Committee saw this in Daley Plaza....WE WERE IMMEDIATELY VOTED OUT! Chicago the first city to voted out.
It was the I.O.C's way to say SCREW USA, SCREW CHICAGO and SCREW OBAMA.

The public will buy anything - Cat Poop Coffee

Thanks Chuck, for screwing up my desire for a cup of coffee this morning.

Going for a CATSCAN, MRI or PET? Call BSBC before going as of 10/01/09 or the city won't pay for it

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL POLICE/FIRE PERSONNEL COVERED BY BCBS of IL
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, 1-800-772-6895 was contacted and verified that as of October 1st, 2009 there has been new requirements in which CAT, MRI and PET SCANS will be covered for it's members. Not all tests (Scans) will be covered and it was recommended that if you are scheduled for one of these, that you contact ENCOMPASS at 1-800-373-3727 or at www.ENCOMPASSonline.com for pre certification if you are going for one of these tests. It appears that as of today, failure to have the pre-approval could result in the test not being covered in all instances

Pookie the Parolee causes an eight car pile up with one dead... Charges pending

Investigators at the scene of a fatal accident at Cicero Avenue and Cal Sag Road in Crestwood. One person was killed in the eight-car accident. Illinois State Police as well as other local agencies were investigating the early morning accident. (Photo for the Chicago Tribune by Warren Skalski)

Charges were being considered against a parolee from Markham who authorities say caused an eight-vehicle crash that killed a south suburban man.

The pile-up happened at about 4:47 a.m. near the intersection of at Cicero Avenue and Cal Sag Road in south suburban Crestwood.

The 52-year-old suspect was speeding north on Cicero Avenue, when his vehicle plowed into seven vehicles ahead of it, causing a chain-reaction collision, Crestwood police Detective Sgt. Chris Soderlund said.

One victim, Fred Anderson, 55, of the 18600 block of Laramie Road in Country Club Hills, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police said several other injured in the crash were all treated and released from local hospitals.

State records show that the suspect was on parole for a 2006 reckless homicide conviction. The suspect also has a previous conviction for aggravated battery to a peace officer or fireman.

No charges had been filed against the suspect late Thursday.

'Choose Chicago, choose America' Three Chicagoans beg the I.O.C. overnight

Michelle Obama, President Barack Obama and Mayor Richard Daley in Copenhagen.
The latest: Chicago is delivering its presentation to the International Olympic Committee. President Obama described himself as a "passionate supporter" of the Games and as "a proud Chicagoan." He said he looked forward to welcoming the world to the shores of Lake Michigan and America in 2016. "America is ready and eager," he said.
